Break ups can be painful, and have severe consequences if not handled correctly.

Realizing a few important truths about your life, and relationships in general is critical to gaining a better understanding of WHY this had to happen, and HOW you should respond to it.

(1) There is NO such thing as a girl who is “perfect.”

‍

‍Stay away from that mentality. Never think that a girl is “different” or “special”.

‍

There is no girl in the world who would never cheat, no girl who won’t get bored of you if you play your cards wrong, and no girl who wouldn’t ever leave you.

All girls have the capability of doing all these things, what determines whether they do them is YOU; how much interest and attraction you can cultivate, your attitude and mentality, and many other things that YOU are in control of.

(2) You WILL find another girl who will make you as happy or happier than the girl you were with.

Believing anything else is not only FALSE, but will cause you to lead a depressing life filled with chick flicks and HD porn.

If you think the girl you’re with is the best a girl can possibly be, you won’t be able to appreciate any girl you meet in the future.

There are thousands of girls out there who are more loyal than your ex, better looking, smarter, funnier, and a superior human being in general.

(3) Negative thoughts breed negative actions and things.

If you have a depressing outlook on life, your girlfriend will NOT come back to you, you will NOT find someone else, and you’ll lose your passion in other things in life.

You’ll start hating your career; you’ll slack off in school, and a myriad of other things.

Positive thoughts do the opposite. THINKING positively and optimistically will make your life better.

‍Thoughts are powerful factors when determining how our lives play out and how we perceive the world.

(4) Do NOT call your girlfriend 30 times, text her monologues, or send her love poems in the mail.

Chances are, if you guys broke up, she needs space to miss you.

‍

This is a win-win situation for you. If you DON’T call her, then two things can happen.

She’ll realize she misses you and come crawling back to you; or you guys won’t speak, you’ll get over her, and you’ll find someone new who makes you much happier.

It’s a win-win.

It’s human to be hurt. Don’t be ashamed of feeling broken or scarred, but do be ashamed if you leave your ex 65 voicemails the day after the break up.

Break ups, especially bad ones, should make you realize how much more you have to work on yourself. Be happy that you didn’t lead a life basking in ignorance.
